I really didn't have the pleasure to know Kelcy, though I had seen pictures that Patti had shown me of her
daughters. Actually, I had just met her on Thanksgiving Day because I spent it with her family. As
I sat on the couch in Larry and Penny's house watching everyone that day, just taking it all in, I noticed that Kelcy
had caught me looking at her a couple of times and she just smiled each time. What I saw that day was an enormous glow
of love that just filled the entire house. From Kelcy to her sisters, her mother, aunt's, uncle's, cousin's and
grandmother. It was absoulutly incredible and I am truly thankful to have gotten the oppurtunity to spend
that precious time with them. - Brian Smith
She was my beloved niece. There will never be anyone like her. We are all so devastated but
I know the love, grace and mercy of our Lord will get us through this one minute at a time.
God gave us a window. He allowed our family 2 recent times that we all spent together. One
was on Nov. 22nd at our home, Aunt Sheil’s & Uncle Lew’s,
for Mom’s birthday dinner. Then at Uncle Larry’s & Aunt Penny’s for Thanksgiving dinner.
We had such a wonderful time on both occasions. When we get together we always have such a wonderful time. We
enjoy our times so much with each other. God gave us those times and I will be forever grateful.
God also gave us Kelcy, and He needed her back. It is the hardest thing for all of us. We all
belong to God and He will soon call us all home. - Sheil Marks
